Directory Traversal Vulnerability in Appwrite
CVE-2022-25377
7.5HIGH
What is CVE-2022-25377?
A directory traversal vulnerability exists within the ACME-challenge endpoint of Appwrite versions 0.5.0 through 0.12.x prior to 0.12.2, allowing remote attackers to read arbitrary local files. This vulnerability requires the existence of the APP_STORAGE_CERTIFICATES/.well-known/acme-challenge directory on the server, which is created by default when Let's Encrypt certificates are installed via Appwrite. Exploiting this flaw could lead to exposure of sensitive information stored on the server, leading to potential security breaches.
