What is CVE-2022-27865?

A vulnerability exists in the Autodesk Design Review application that allows a malicious actor to exploit a buffer overflow by crafting a malicious TGA or PCX file. When this file is processed by DesignReview.exe, it may write data beyond the allocated buffer. This behavior opens the door for potential arbitrary code execution, putting systems at risk. Users are encouraged to follow the recommended security practices and apply necessary updates to mitigate exposure.
