Unencrypted Password Storage in Jenkins Proxmox Plugin by Jenkins
CVE-2022-28141
6.5MEDIUM
What is CVE-2022-28141?
The Proxmox Plugin for Jenkins improperly secures sensitive information, specifically the Proxmox Datacenter password. Versions 0.5.0 and earlier store this sensitive password in the unencrypted global config.xml file on the Jenkins controller. This oversight exposes the password to any user with access to the Jenkins controller file system, potentially leading to unauthorized access and security breaches.
