What is CVE-2022-29942?

The Talend Administration Center has a vulnerability that enables authenticated users to execute Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) attacks. This flaw allows attackers to exploit the Service Registry's 'Add' feature, confusing the system to make HTTP GET requests to URLs residing on the internal network. This poses significant risks as it may expose sensitive internal resources. The vulnerability has been addressed in versions 8.0.x (TPS-5189), 7.3.x (TPS-5175), and 7.2.x (TPS-5201). Users of earlier versions are strongly advised to upgrade to subsequent, supported releases to mitigate this risk.
