What is CVE-2022-34100?
A vulnerability exists in the Crestron AirMedia Windows Application version 4.3.1.39 that enables a low-privileged user to escalate their privileges to SYSTEM level. This occurs when a user pre-stages a specific file structure prior to the installation of a trusted service executable and manipulates permissions on the file structure during a subsequent repair operation. This flaw could allow unauthorized users to execute commands with elevated privileges, posing a significant security risk.
