Local Privilege Escalation Vulnerability in Dell Command Update and Alienware Update

Summary

A local privilege escalation vulnerability exists in Dell Command Update, Dell Update, and Alienware Update prior to version 4.6.0. This vulnerability allows a local malicious user to potentially escalate their privileges by exploiting a flaw in the custom catalog configuration. As such, unauthorized users could gain elevated rights, which may lead to unauthorized access to sensitive system resources.
