What is CVE-2022-36970?

This vulnerability in AVEVA Edge allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on installations of the software. It specifically affects the processing of APP files, where crafted data can lead to the execution of arbitrary Visual Basic scripts. To exploit this vulnerability, user interaction is required; the target must either visit a malicious website or open a specially crafted file.
