What is CVE-2022-36998?

A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in various versions of Veritas NetBackup. This issue allows an attacker with authenticated access to a NetBackup Client to trigger the overflow remotely on the NetBackup Primary server. The result is a potential Denial of Service, which may compromise the availability of the affected services.
