What is CVE-2022-38337?

MobaXterm, prior to version 22.1, contains a vulnerability where aborting an SFTP connection can lead to the transmission of a hardcoded password to the server. This behavior prompts the server to register the event as an invalid login attempt, potentially causing a Denial of Service (DoS) condition for users employing mechanisms such as fail2ban. Such a flaw necessitates immediate attention to prevent service disruptions.
