What is CVE-2022-41352?

A vulnerability exists in Zimbra Collaboration Suite that allows attackers to upload arbitrary files via the amavis interface due to a cpio loophole. This loophole facilitates the extraction of files to a specific directory, which could potentially lead to unauthorized access to user accounts. It is advisable for users to switch to pax instead of cpio, as pax is included in the prerequisites for Zimbra installations on Ubuntu. However, it's important to note that pax is not typically part of a default installation on Red Hat-based systems. Ensuring that the correct file extraction tool is utilized can significantly enhance security against this exploit.
