What is CVE-2022-42247?

A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability has been identified in the browser.php component of pfSense v2.5.2. This issue enables attackers to execute arbitrary web scripts or HTML through malicious payloads embedded in file names. If exploited, this vulnerability could compromise user sessions and facilitate unauthorized access to sensitive data.
