What is CVE-2022-42898?

In MIT Kerberos 5 versions prior to 1.19.4 and 1.20.x before 1.20.1, the PAC parsing functionality contains critical integer overflow flaws. These vulnerabilities can result in remote code execution in vulnerable services such as KDC, kadmind, or GSS application servers on 32-bit platforms, leading to heap-based buffer overflows. Other platforms may experience denial of service due to these issues. A similar issue is present in Heimdal versions before 7.7.1, which users should also address.
