What is CVE-2022-44570?

The Range header parsing component in Rack, affecting versions 1.5.0 and above, is vulnerable to a denial of service attack. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability by sending carefully crafted input, causing the Range header parsing to consume an excessive amount of time, potentially incapacitating the application. This impacts any web application that processes Range requests, such as those involved in file streaming or serving downloadable content.
