What is CVE-2022-4985?
Vodafone H500s devices, specifically those running firmware version 3.5.10, are susceptible to a security flaw that allows unauthorized access to WiFi credentials. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted GET request to the /data/activation.json endpoint, which returns a JSON document that includes sensitive information such as the WiFi access point password. This exposure compromises the confidentiality of the network and any devices connected to it, potentially leading to unauthorized network access.
