What is CVE-2022-50971?

Malwarebytes 4.5 contains a vulnerability in its MBAMService executable related to unquoted service paths. This allows local attackers to escalate their privileges by injecting malicious code into designated system directories. When service startup or system reboot occurs, executables placed in these unquoted paths can be executed with LocalSystem privileges, potentially compromising system integrity and security.
