What is CVE-2023-22621?

The Strapi vulnerability allows authenticated users to exploit Server-Side Template Injection (SSTI), potentially executing arbitrary code within the server environment. This arises from insufficient validation of email templates in versions up to 4.5.5, enabling attackers with admin panel access to inject malicious payloads. Such an exploit can have dire consequences as it bypasses existing security checks, posing serious risks to the integrity of the server and its data.

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
