What is CVE-2023-25267?
A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified in the GFI Kerio Connect webmail component. This issue arises from the 2FASetup function, which processes an authenticated request through the webmail/api/jsonrpc URI. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially crafted request with an excessively long primaryEMailAddress field, leading to potential denial of service or arbitrary code execution. Users are encouraged to upgrade to Kerio Connect version 10.0.0 or later to mitigate this risk.
