What is CVE-2023-25606?

A vulnerability in the management interface of FortiAnalyzer and FortiManager allows an authenticated remote attacker to exploit improper limitations on pathname access. This can lead to unauthorized retrieval of files from the device's underlying filesystem via manipulated web requests. Affected versions include FortiAnalyzer 7.2.0, 7.2.1, FortiManager 7.0.0 to 7.0.5, and all versions of 6.4. Immediate patching and validation of web access controls are recommended to mitigate potential file access breaches.
