What is CVE-2023-26116?

Versions of the AngularJS package from 1.2.21 are exposed to a Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) attack via the insecure use of regular expressions in the angular.copy() utility function. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending a large, specially crafted input, leading to catastrophic backtracking and potentially causing significant performance degradation in applications that depend on this utility.
