What is CVE-2023-28349?
In Faronics Insight version 10.0.19045 for Windows, a vulnerability allows attackers to mimic the Teacher Console, potentially tricking Student Consoles into connecting automatically. Once connected, these Student Consoles are susceptible to exploitation, allowing attackers to write arbitrary files to any location on disk with NT AUTHORITY/SYSTEM level permissions, thereby enabling remote code execution. This represents a significant risk for educational environments relying on this software.
