Summary
The netconsd application, prior to version 0.2, is vulnerable to an integer overflow in its parse_packet function. This vulnerability can be exploited by a malicious actor to manipulate heap memory, enabling them to execute arbitrary code or alter the application's intended behavior. User data could be compromised as attackers can control the input causing the overflow, leading to potential data breaches and system instability.
