What is CVE-2023-29503?
This vulnerability arises from the improper validation of user-supplied data in the parsing of project files, such as CSP files. It allows an attacker to exploit this weakness by crafting malicious project files that can cause a stack-based buffer overflow. By executing such an attack, a malicious actor may gain the ability to run arbitrary code within the affected application’s process, giving them control over the environment. This can lead to unauthorized access to sensitive information or subsequent exploitation of the system.
