What is CVE-2023-29986?

The spring-boot-actuator-logview version 0.2.13 is susceptible to a directory traversal vulnerability that allows malicious users to access files outside of the intended directory. This can lead to exposure of sensitive information by traversing sibling directories accessing unexpected files. The LogViewEndpoint.view method does not adequately validate input, which opens the door for exploitation and potential data breaches.
