What is CVE-2023-30451?

In TYPO3 CMS version 11.5.24, a directory traversal vulnerability exists in the filelist component. An attacker with administrator panel access can exploit this flaw to read arbitrary files from the server. This is executed through manipulation of the baseuri field, potentially exposing sensitive information. For example, by sending a specially crafted POST request to /typo3/record/edit with a payload that includes ../../../ in the basePath parameter, attackers can traverse directories and access files that should otherwise remain protected.
