What is CVE-2023-31129?

The Contiki-NG operating system versions 4.8 and earlier are susceptible to a null pointer dereference vulnerability in their IPv6 router solicitation handling mechanism. This issue arises when the system fails to validate the source link-layer address option during router solicitation messages, resulting in the inadvertent dereferencing of a null pointer.
