What is CVE-2023-31472?

An issue has been identified on GL.iNet devices that allows for arbitrary file creation across the filesystem due to a command injection vulnerability. This vulnerability, present in versions prior to 3.216, occurs when an attacker is able to exploit the input validation filters, thereby executing unauthorized commands that enable them to create empty files in any directory of the system. Such a weakness can have serious implications for the integrity and security of the device's filesystem.
