Elevation of Privileges in Vasion PrinterLogic Client for Windows
CVE-2023-32232
9.9CRITICAL
What is CVE-2023-32232?
A vulnerability in the Vasion PrinterLogic Client for Windows, prior to version 25.0.0.836, exposes the system to arbitrary code execution due to a misconfiguration during client installation and repair. While the installer attempts to configure the device, it invokes a PrinterLogic binary that runs with elevated privileges in a visible window. This security flaw allows a standard user to escape this window and gain a full SYSTEM command prompt, thus achieving a complete compromise of the system through arbitrary code execution.
