CVE-2023-34277
What is CVE-2023-34277?
The vulnerability in D-Link DIR-2150 routers allows network-adjacent attackers to execute arbitrary code due to an improper validation issue within the SOAP API interface. This flaw affects installations listening on TCP port 80 and can be exploited even with a valid authentication mechanism that can be bypassed. Attackers can send crafted requests to the affected system, leading to commands being executed in the context of the root user, potentially compromising the integrity and confidentiality of the network environment. Proper network security measures should be implemented to mitigate the risks associated with this vulnerability.
