What is CVE-2023-34335?

The AMI Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) is affected by a significant vulnerability in its Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI) handler. This flaw permits an unauthenticated host to write directly to the host's Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) flash memory, effectively bypassing the secure boot protections designed to maintain system integrity. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could result in unauthorized alteration of critical system configurations, potentially leading to compromised system integrity or even a complete denial of service.
