What is CVE-2023-34410?

A vulnerability has been identified in Qt software, where the TLS certificate validation does not consistently verify whether the root of a certificate chain is categorized as a valid Certificate Authority (CA). This can lead to unauthorized connections being accepted, thereby introducing potential security risks. Affected versions include Qt prior to 5.15.15, as well as several iterations of the 6.x series before 6.5.2. Users are encouraged to promptly update to secure versions to mitigate this flaw.
