What is CVE-2023-36612?
A directory traversal vulnerability exists in the Basecamp application for Android prior to version 4.2.1. This flaw may allow an attacker to exploit the application's code, leading to unauthorized file writing within its private directory. Moreover, with the use of a specially crafted intent, attackers could potentially redirect server responses containing sensitive user information to third-party applications through a custom deeplink scheme. Such vulnerabilities pose significant risks to user data and application integrity.
