Remote Denial of Service Vulnerability in Open5GS MME by Open5GS
CVE-2023-37010
6.3MEDIUM
What is CVE-2023-37010?
Open5GS MME versions up to 2.6.4 are susceptible to a remote denial of service attack, where an attacker can exploit an assertion triggered by sending a malformed ASN.1 packet through the S1AP interface. This attack involves transmitting an eNB Status Transfer message that omits the necessary MME_UE_S1AP_ID field, leading to repeated crashes of the MME and causing service interruptions.
