What is CVE-2023-37903?

The vm2 library, used as a sandbox for Node.js, has a vulnerability in its custom inspect function that could allow attackers to escape the sandbox environment. This flaw affects versions up to and including 3.9.19. If an attacker is able to execute arbitrary code within the context of the vm2 sandbox, they could compromise the system by executing remote code. There are currently no available patches or workarounds, and users should consider alternative solutions to mitigate this risk.
