What is CVE-2023-38097?
A vulnerability within the NETGEAR ProSAFE Network Management System allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code due to an exposed dangerous function in the BkreProcessThread class. Although the exploitation requires authentication, the authentication mechanism has a significant weakness that enables attackers to bypass this requirement. Successful exploitation of this flaw permits attackers to execute code with SYSTEM privileges, severely compromising the integrity and security of affected installations.
