What is CVE-2023-38105?

An information disclosure vulnerability exists in Foxit PDF Reader due to improper validation of user-supplied data when parsing PDF files. This flaw enables remote attackers to potentially disclose sensitive information by persuading users to open malicious PDF files or visit malicious web pages. An exploit may lead to reading past the allocated memory boundary, thereby revealing confidential information to malicious actors. In combination with other vulnerabilities, this could allow for arbitrary code execution within the affected application context.
