What is CVE-2023-38106?

A vulnerability exists within Foxit PDF Reader's handling of PDF file parsing, which may lead to the disclosure of sensitive information. This issue arises due to the improper validation of user-supplied data, allowing an attacker leverage this gap for an out-of-bounds read operation. To exploit this vulnerability, user interaction is necessary; the targeted user must either access a malicious webpage or open a compromised PDF file. Exploiting this flaw may provide attackers a pathway to execute arbitrary code within the current user process by collaborating with other vulnerabilities.
