What is CVE-2023-38112?

A use-after-free vulnerability exists in Foxit PDF Reader that impacts the handling of XFA Annotation objects. This flaw arises from inadequate validation checks on the existence of these objects before operations are executed on them. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by enticing users to visit crafted web pages or open specially designed files, ultimately gaining the ability to execute arbitrary code within the context of the affected process.
