What is CVE-2023-38884?

An IDOR vulnerability in version 9.0 of the Community Edition of openSIS Classic enables unauthorized remote attackers to gain access to sensitive files belonging to any student. This exploitation occurs through a URL manipulation, allowing attackers to bypass authentication and directly access files stored on the server by altering the student ID in the file path. This vulnerability poses significant risks to student data privacy and requires immediate attention to secure against unauthorized access.
