D-Link DAP-1325 HNAP SetHostIPv6StaticSettings StaticDefaultGateway Command Injection Remote Code Execution Vulnerability
CVE-2023-41197
8.8HIGH
Summary
A command injection vulnerability in the D-Link DAP-1325 router allows network-adjacent attackers to execute arbitrary code. The flaw resides in the handling of a request parameter for the HNAP1 SOAP endpoint, where a lack of proper validation permits user-supplied strings to be executed as system calls. Since authentication is not required, this vulnerability presents a critical risk, enabling attackers to gain root-level access to affected installations without any user credentials.
