Authentication Bypass in Netwrix Usercube Due to Misconfiguration
CVE-2023-41264
What is CVE-2023-41264?
Netwrix Usercube, prior to version 6.0.215, is susceptible to an authentication bypass vulnerability in certain on-premises installations that are misconfigured. This security flaw occurs when essential configuration settings, specifically restSettings.AuthorizedClientId and restSettings.AuthorizedSecret, are omitted from deployment endpoints. Consequently, this oversight can allow unauthorized access and privilege escalation through the POST /api/Deployment/ExportConfiguration and POST /api/Deployment endpoints, thereby creating a potential security risk for organizations.
