What is CVE-2023-41276?

A vulnerability in multiple versions of QNAP's operating systems has been identified, characterized by a buffer copy without proper size checks. This flaw presents a risk whereby authenticated administrators may potentially execute arbitrary code remotely. Users are encouraged to review and update their systems to the latest secure versions to mitigate the risk associated with this vulnerability. The issue has been addressed in recent updates, including QTS 5.1.2.2533 (build 20230926) and its successors, as well as QuTS hero h5.1.2.2534 (build 20230927) and beyond, and QuTScloud c5.1.5.2651 or later.
