What is CVE-2023-41277?

A buffer copy vulnerability has been identified in various versions of QNAP operating systems, allowing authenticated administrators to potentially execute arbitrary code through network interfaces. This issue arises from inadequate size checks during buffer operations, which can lead to memory corruption and unauthorized command execution within the affected systems. Remediation has been implemented in versions QTS 5.1.2.2533 build 20230926 and later, QuTS hero h5.1.2.2534 build 20230927 and later, and QuTScloud c5.1.5.2651 and later, effectively mitigating the risk associated with this vulnerability.
