What is CVE-2023-42459?

Fast DDS, a C++ library implementing the Data Distribution Service (DDS) standard, has a vulnerability that allows an attacker to send specific DATA submessages to a discovery locator, resulting in a free error. This could cause any Fast DDS process to crash remotely. Moreover, the pointer control might inadvertently remain with the attacker, leading to potential exploitations like a double free. It is crucial for users to upgrade to versions 2.12.0, 2.11.3, 2.10.3, or 2.6.7 to mitigate this risk, as no workarounds are available.

Human OS v1.0:
Ageing Is an Unpatched Zero-Day Vulnerability.
