What is CVE-2023-42785?

A null pointer dereference vulnerability in specific versions of FortiOS can be exploited by an attacker to trigger a denial of service (DoS). This occurs when a crafted HTTP request is processed by the affected FortiOS versions, leading to service interruptions. The affected versions include FortiOS 7.4.0 through 7.4.1, 7.2.0 through 7.2.5, and all versions of 7.0, 6.4, 6.2, and 6.0.
