What is CVE-2023-43359?
A Cross Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in CMS Made Simple version 2.2.18 allows local attackers to execute arbitrary code. This exploit targets the Page Specific Metadata and Smarty data parameters within the Content Manager Menu component. Proper sanitation of user input is crucial to prevent such vulnerabilities that could lead to unauthorized actions executed in the context of the user’s session.
