What is CVE-2023-43494?

A vulnerability exists in Jenkins versions 2.50 through 2.423 and LTS versions 2.60.1 through 2.414.1, where sensitive build variables, including password parameters, are not adequately excluded from the search functionality in the build history widget. Attackers with Item/Read permissions can exploit this oversight by methodically guessing characters to uncover the values of confidential build variables stored in Jenkins, thereby posing a significant risk to sensitive information.
