What is CVE-2023-43848?

An access control vulnerability exists in the firewall management function of the web interface for Aten PE6208 versions 2.3.228 and 2.4.232. This flaw allows remote authenticated users to bypass normal security mechanisms, enabling them to modify local firewall settings as if they possessed administrative privileges. An exploit of this vulnerability could lead to unauthorized changes to critical firewall configurations, thereby compromising the overall security posture of the device and potentially exposing the network to various threats.
