What is CVE-2023-4389?

A flaw in the btrfs_get_root_ref function within the btrfs filesystem of the Linux Kernel leads to a double decrement of the reference count. This vulnerability enables a local attacker with user privileges to potentially crash the system or gain unauthorized access to sensitive internal kernel information.
