What is CVE-2023-44796?

A Cross Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in LimeSurvey versions prior to 6.2.9-230925, which enables a remote attacker to craft a malicious script targeting the _generaloptions_panel.php component. This vulnerability can lead to privilege escalation, allowing threats to manipulate user sessions or steal sensitive information.
