What is CVE-2023-4487?
The vulnerability in GE CIMPLICITY 2023 stems from a process control flaw that enables a local attacker to insert harmful configuration files into the web server's execution directory. This manipulation could result in privilege escalation, giving the attacker complete control over the Human Machine Interface (HMI) software, thereby compromising the integrity and security of the system.
